Hiking & trekking to Mount Dimats (Tavush Region)

Hiking & trekking to Mount Dimats (Tavush Region)

Duration: 8-9 hours / Mileage: 210 km

Recently Mount Dimats has become one of the most popular destinations in Armenia due to the stunning views, which are breathtaking and full of unforgettable emotions. We will move from Yerevan to the monastery of Haghartsin and start our hike to Mount Dimats. At the beginning of the hike, we will see the waterfall in the forests of Dilijan.

It is a waterfall on the territory of Dilijan National Park in Tavush region. The waterfall got its name because of its remote location. A trail which leads to Hidden Waterfall passes through a dense forest.  Compared to other waterfalls Hidden Waterfall is less. The water flow falls from a height of approximately 2.5 m.

Ijevan mountains stand out for their unique landscapes. Mount Dimats (2378 m) is situated on the territory of Dilijan National Park and is one of the highest points of the Ijevan mountain range. From the top opens a stunning view of the rocky walls of the Ijevan mountains.
